Known worldwide for her role as Rei Ayanami/ Sailor Mars in 'Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon'. She perfectly portrays Rei's complex character, which is strong-willed and competitive yet also mysterious as a shrine maiden, highlighting the individuality of the Sailor Moon team. Her ability to switch between passionate intensity and the calmness of a shrine maiden sets her apart from other voice actors. She is remembered as one of the five warriors who supported the Sailor Moon boom.
Path to Becoming a Voice Actor
Born in Tokyo. Graduated from Aoni Production's training school and debuted in 1984. In 1992, she won the role of Sailor Mars in Sailor Moon.
