Biography
Born in Tokyo, Japan, he is an actor and voice actor. After working with theater troupes such as Kikaku and Dōjinsha Production, he became affiliated with Arts Vision. He voiced the role of the Elder Kaioshin in Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT, the coach of Nampo High School in Slam Dunk, and Tokugawa Ieyasu in Dokaben. Initially, he was an actor in live-action dramas and tokusatsu, and later shifted his career to voice acting.
Path to Becoming a Voice Actor
After accumulating a career in live-action theater and tokusatsu as an actor, he transitioned to voice acting. Through Arts Vision, he expanded his activities into anime works. He was known for his unique elderly character portrayals.
