Biography
Known as the 'narrator of movies,' he was a legendary veteran voice actor specializing in dubs for top European and American stars such as Al Pacino, Robert Redford, and Alain Delon. He was a member of the Seihei Theater troupe, and his wife is also a voice actress, Shiraishi Fuyumi. He was renowned for his passionate and intellectual character dubs, and his unique presence helped build the culture of foreign film dubs in Japan. He passed away on October 30, 2010, at the age of 72.
Path to Becoming a Voice Actor
After stage activities with the Seihei Theater troupe, he entered the world of foreign film dubs and established his position as the exclusive dub for Al Pacino.
